March 14, 1958 – April 1, 2026

Age 68

David “Snake” Warden, age 68, of Hilham, Tennessee, passed away on April 1, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 14, 1958, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, and he lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and quiet strength. He was known by those who loved him as a handy, thoughtful, and friendly man whose presence brought comfort to family, neighbors, and friends alike.

David spent much of his life working in the sawmill, where he was respected for his dependable nature and strong work ethic. He understood the value of honest labor and took pride in doing a job well. His hands were often busy, and his willingness to help others made him someone, people could count on. He carried himself with a practical spirit and a gentle manner that left a lasting impression on those around him.

Faith was an important part of David’s life. He was a Christian and was baptized into the Church of Christ, a step that reflected his devotion and the beliefs that guided him throughout his years. His faith was a steady part of who he was, and it gave him strength through life’s joys and hardships. Those who knew him will remember a man who lived with sincerity and who valued the simple, meaningful things in life.

David was preceded in death by his parents Charles Carlas Warden and Ellene Boles Warden, his sister Janice Warden, his brothers Kenneth Boles and Charles Warden, and his grandparents Eddie and Maybel Warden and Ell and Verda Boles. Their memories remained close to him throughout his life, and he carried the legacy of his family with him in the way he lived and treated others.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Tidwell of Livingston, Tennessee; his niece, Denise Ray and her husband Greg of Monterey, Tennessee; his nephews, Christopher Warden of Hilham, Tennessee, and Jeremy Tidwell of Cookeville, Tennessee; and two great-nieces and a great-nephew of Tennessee. He also leaves behind close neighbors and friends who became like family over the years and who will miss his steady presence and kind heart.

Though his earthly journey has ended, the memory of David “Snake” Warden will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His life was a testament to the value of family, faith, and kindness, and he will be remembered with deep affection and respect.
