Jeanette Craighead Colson

Jeanette Craighead Colson was born on February 20, 1965 in Gainesboro, TN and she passed away at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the age of 61.

Jeanette was the daughter of Edd Roy Craighead and Matilda Chaffin Craighead. She worked at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in the medical billing department. On July 25, 2014 she married Terry Kenneth Colson. She was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survived by her spouse Terry Colson; son Ross Wade (Kayla) Grigg of Bloomington TN; daughter April Brooke (Ashtin) Farley of Cookeville TN; sister Anita (Steve) Huddleston of Owensboro KY; grandchildren Cameron Wade Grigg of Bloomington Springs TN, Crew Wade Grigg of Bloomington Springs TN; Step Sons: Scott (Crystal) Colson of Bloomington Springs TN and Brian (Hannah) Colson of Nashville TN; Step Grandchildren, Carter Colson, Scarlette Colson and Siena Colson.

Visitation will be on Saturday 4-8 pm Sunday 11 -2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 22, 2026 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Pharris Cemetery.
