Jimmie Carolyn Stafford, age 75, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, passed away on May 10, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1951, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and quiet strength. She was a Christian woman whose gentle presence and steadfast spirit touched the lives of many who knew her.
Jimmie Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend whose life centered on caring for others. She was known for being selfless, loving, and wise, and those qualities were evident in the way she lived each day. She carried herself with grace and humility, and she found joy in serving her family and making a home filled with warmth and comfort. As a homemaker, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to the people she loved, and her influence will remain in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stafford; her parents, James Stewart and Robbie Stewart; and her nephew, Jason Lynn.
Jimmie Carolyn is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Stafford and his wife Jill of Gainesboro, Tennessee, and Jeremy Stafford and his wife Tonya of Gainesboro, Tennessee; her daughter, Brande Boles and her husband Bobby of Gainesboro, Tennessee; her brother, Charles “Chuck” Stewart and his wife Pam of Gainesboro, Tennessee; and her sister, Kathy Lynn of Gainesboro, Tennessee. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory and the many ways she enriched their lives. Her family was her greatest pride, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
A high school graduate, Jimmie Carolyn carried the values of hard work, respect, and perseverance throughout her life. She was a woman who understood the importance of family, faith, and simple acts of love. Her home was a place of welcome, and her heart was always open to those in need of comfort or encouragement. She had a gift for offering wise counsel and a reassuring presence, and many were blessed by her steady example.
Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who loved her, but her memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration. Jimmie Carolyn Stafford will be remembered as a devoted Christian woman whose life reflected the values she held dear. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of selflessness, love, and wisdom, and her memory will be treasured always by those fortunate enough to have known her.
The family has chosen cremation to honor her wishes and no services are scheduled at this time.
