Joey Renea Allen

Joey Renea Allen, born on January 18, 1968, in Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Signature Health and Rehab in Cookeville, Tennessee, at the age of 58.

She is the daughter of Joe Willard Allen and the late Mary Ellen Clinton Allen. She was a graduate of Jackson County High School. Joey was known for her love of football and wrestling, and she was especially a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears. She enjoyed following the excitement of the games and the energy of the sports she loved. In addition to her love of sports, she found enjoyment in watching cooking shows, which brought her comfort and entertainment. She also valued her friendships and made an effort to stay in touch with friends through Facebook and by pen pal correspondence.

Joey was preceded in death by her mother, as well as her maternal grandparents, Elvis and Bertha Clinton, and her paternal grandparents, Mal and Lilly Allen. 

She is survived by her father: Joe Willard Allen; brother: Jeff Allen and his wife Kim of Cookeville, Tennessee; her sister: Jody Deweese and her husband Clint of Cookeville, Tennessee; her niece: Ryelee Deweese of Cookeville, Tennessee; her nephew: Joshua Allen of Cookeville, Tennessee; and a host of aunts, uncles and other family also survives. 

 Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 10am until 1pm in the chapel of  Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Austin Armagost officiating. Burial will follow in Byers Cemetery.
