Mary Ann Denney

Mary Ann Denney was born on May 27, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio to parents Louis Eugene Conger and Bessie Alderidge Atton Smith and she passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Gainesboro, Tennessee at the age of 76.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, three sisters-in-law, and her son-in-law, Eugene Lawson. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her memory remains a lasting source of comfort to those who loved her. The family she leaves behind will continue to cherish the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the example she set.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Lawson of Gainesboro, Tennessee, and Peggy Conley of West Milton, Ohio. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Crystal Arrington and her husband Troy of Joelton, Tennessee, Melissa Funk of Fairborn, Ohio, and Kimberly Shelton and her husband Travis of Inglewood, Ohio. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Chloe Arrington of Joelton, Tennessee, Faith Funk, Keith Funk, and Kierra Funk all of Fairborn, Ohio, and Lily Denney of Inglewood, Ohio.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11- 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Scott officiating.
