Michael G. Huie was born on October 26, 1952 in Paris, TN and passed away at his residence in Cookeville on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the age of 73.
Michael was the son of Harold Huie and Daisy Gorman Huie. He was a retired drill instructor for the US Marines serving 22 years. On April 2, 1987 he married Rosita Advincula for a total of 38 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Huie.
Survived by: spouse Rosita Huie; son Michael Huie II of Indianapolis IN; daughter Christa Tyler of Paris TN; brother Don Huie of Murfreesboro TN; sister Linda Prader of Paris TN and grandchild Cody.
The family has chosen cremation to honor his wishes and no services are scheduled at this time.
Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Humane Society.
