Shelia Kirby

February 21, 1969 – February 25, 2026

Age 57

Shelia Kirby passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 21, 1969, in Nashville, Tennessee.  Shelia's warm spirit and friendly disposition touched the lives of all who knew her throughout her 57 years.

Shelia's life was a testament to the power of familial love. She is survived by her loving sons: Josh Todd of Woodbury, Tennessee, Jamison (Lyndie) Kirby of Baxter, Tennessee, and Austin Kirby and Makayla (Grulke) of Cleveland, Tennessee. Grandchildren: Lucien, Dorian, and Mileina. Her stepchildren were: Taylor, Shelby, Justin, and Patience of Cookeville, Tennessee. Shelia's sisters: Tammy Mayberry and Angie Mayberry, both of Cookeville, Tennessee, and a host of nieces and nephews will remember her as the cornerstone of their family. The bond they shared was built on mutual respect and unwavering support, which Shelia extended to every member of her family.

Shelia dedicated her life to creating a loving home for her children and those she considered family. Her work as a homemaker was a source of great pride and joy, and her door was always open to friends and neighbors alike. Shelia was a woman of faith, and her Christian beliefs guided her through life's challenges and triumphs. She found strength and solace in her religion, and it was a cornerstone of her existence.

Shelia's interests were simple yet profound. Being with her family was her greatest pleasure, and she could often be found babysitting, an activity that not only allowed her to spend precious time with her family but also to share her love and wisdom with the younger generations. Her kindness extended beyond her family, as she was known in her community for her friendly nature and generous spirit. Shelia's capacity to love and her readiness to help others were traits that defined her.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Shelia would describe her as loving, friendly, and generous. These words, while accurate, only scratch the surface of a woman whose influence was as gentle as it was profound. Shelia Kirby lived her life with an open heart, welcoming all who crossed her path with a smile and an open hand.

As we bid farewell to Shelia, we celebrate a life well-lived, a legacy of love, and the countless memories she has left behind. Her spirit will continue to live on through the lives of those she touched, and she will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Shelia Kirby's journey on this earth has ended, but the impact of her love and kindness will resonate for generations to come.
