Terry Pryor

Terry Pryor was born on July 31, 1957, in Cookeville, TN and passed away at CRMC on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 68.

Michael was the son of H. C. Pryor and Minerva Ellen Green Pryor. Terry wed Daisy Pryor on October 26, 1979.  Terry worked for Foutch Distributing and TDOT for several years.

He was a member of McCoinsville Church of Christ. Terry had a passion for hunting deer, turkey, and elk. He enjoyed hunting trips with his hunting buddies. He loved his grandchildren and was known as “Pa Pryor”. He was an avid Nascar collector and fan. Terry enjoyed gardening with his family.

He was preceded in death by his: parents, sister: Reba Ludeman; brother in laws: Kenneth "Sach" Mayberry, Butch Ludman, Marlin Allen; sister in laws: Shirley Pryor, Leona (Larry) Allen, Peggy Allen.

Terry is survived by spouse: Daisy Pryor of Gainesboro, TN; daughter: Terri Kennedy of Gainesboro, TN; brothers: Billy Herchel (Ena) Gore of Baxter, TN, Gary Pryor of Cookeville, TN; sisters: Joyce (Jerry) Qualls of Rickman, TN, Carol Denson of Silver Point, TN; grandchildren: Alena Kennedy of Gainesboro, TN, Maverick Kennedy of Gainesboro, TN; Special thanks to his niece: Melissa (Alvin) Pigg and brother in law: Larry Allen for all the help during his illness. Several other nephews, nieces, and cousins survive.

Visitation will begin on Thursday Dec 18th, 2025, 3pm - 7pm. Visitation will also be held on Friday, Dec 19th, 2025, from 11 am until time of the funeral.

Funeral services will begin at 1 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Brothers Jimmy Anderson and Edward Anderson will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pharris Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Terry’s honor to Pharris Cemetery and/or Jackson Smith Co. Youth Group by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
